I am Nick, probably a game developer from Eastern European country named Belarus ^_^
Half of my life, I wanted to make games. That idea came to my mind a year after I've got my first PC in 1996.
I have some game ideas, but haven't so much time and strengths to implement them. To be honest, I have serious problems with finishing anything: it is easy for me to start, but when the process goes on, my engagement fades away quickly, and finishing the thing seems almost impossible for me.
Two years ago, I bought Construct2 and decide to start making games for real. Some time ago, I started a Twitter to help myself become more focused on a game development. I wanted to make my first game to celebrate 100 followers, but that didn't work because of my easily distracted nature. Nevertheless, I finished my first game (about myself rushing towards a dream; this is so selfish, I know) and want to see what are players and indie community thinks about it.
I don't like talking much about myself, but for some reason I've decided to post more about myself here.
I'm 32 years old, unemployed, disabled, and living with my aged parents. In 2006 I was diagnosed with MS. First two years I was still employed, but then I became unable to walk normally, so I quit.
I had harsh times back then. Severe depression and loneliness were my everyday companions. But there were good sides too. My first love came back to me, but finally we' went apart.
After some time, I realized that now I have everything I need to go for my childhood dream. I have knowledge, skills and tools, and the old passion woke again inside of my heart. Moreover, I had plenty of time to spend on it. So I bought Construct2, started twitter and began my journey to the land of independent game development.
